Ptosis forceps are used in the muscle surgery of the lids. It is a device for oculoplastic surgery. It has a protected lock, which facilitates dissection of the muscle in ptosis operations and levator recession procedures.
The forceps have two parts. The inferior part has two grooved atraumatic flat jaws. The superior part has a bulging rough area and a smooth tapered tip. It has a superior locking mechanism between the bulging areas that allows improved grasping and easy release of levator muscle
